My son lives in Basingstoke and phoned me to say that on his way home from Bracknell the road signs telling drivers to beware of traffic problems in Weymouth and Portland were very prominent and that this could be one of the reasons that trade has been affected in the area.
Given that Bracknell is more than 100 miles away it would appear to be estimating a problem that might never have happened. We will never know now.
