Search for lost children
THREE children sparked a search after going missing on a family walk.
A nine-year-old boy and his 11 and 13-year-old sisters vanished from their parents in Charmouth.
Dorset Police, lifeboat and Lyme Regis and West Bay Coastguard rescue teams were deployed to help search for the children who were later found on the beach.
A Portland Coastguard spokesman said: "The children went ahead from their parents and took the wrong branch of the path.
"They were lucky because if you are not familiar with the area you can easily get into trouble.
"There are areas of mudslides which are not very nice for children."
The family were were reunited later yesterday.
