Witness appeal after teenager injured
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian in Weymouth.
A 16-year-old youth was walking along Chickerell Road towards the town centre when he was struck by a blue Vauxhall Vectra.
PC Steve Pullen, of Dorset Police's traffic unit, said: "The teenager sustained minor injuries that were mainly bruising to his hip and side.
"I'm appealing for anyone who saw the collision and anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police."
Witnesses to the collision, which happened sometime between 6.45pm and 7.15pm last Sunday (May 18), can call police on 01305 222222.
