Woman injured in A354 crash

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A354 between Dorchester and Weymouth.
Police say the smash happened near the Winterborne Monkton turning at Monkton Hill shortly after 1pm today.
A white lorry, registered to a Dorchester company, was in collision with a green Nissan Micra, registered to a Weymouth woman.
The owner of the Nissan Micra was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester for treatment.
A Dorset Police spokesman said it was not yet clear how badly she was injured.
The road was closed and officers introduced diversions at the Tesco roundabout at Dorchester and on the Weymouth side of the accident.
Recovery for the vehicles has been arranged and local authority officials have been alerted to clear the road surface.
