RESURFACING work on a footbridge in Weymouth due to start this week has been delayed.
Dorset County Council says it is too damp to do the four days of work on Alexander Bridge.
The bridge goes over the railway between Hanover Road and Radipole Gardens. It is planned to lay a new surface to reduce the noise and before a new cycle route is signposted over the bridge.
The council says the work will now go-ahead on Monday, October 29 and will last for four days. The bridge will be closed while the work is carried out.
