CHIPPING IN: Digging up potatoes at Chapelhay Community Playgarden
THE Chapelhay community in Weymouth came together to celebrate a bumper harvest.
Youngsters and adults pitched in to dig up this year’s potato crop at Chapelhay Community Playgarden.
They were taken to Peter Chen at the Ocean Hay takeaway, who turned them into a bonanza of chips. People brought homemade burgers, salad, cakes and crumble.
The group meets on the first Sunday of each month from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Future events include Christmas decoration making on November 4 and a Christmas party on December 2.
