NEW neighbours shared their view of the Jurassic Coast with an Olympic medallist as he cut the ribbon and officially opened their home in Weymouth.
Sailing silver medallist Nick Dempsey visited Olympia Heights, a development of 41 apartments along Greenhill.
As its name suggests, some of the homes in the complex boast stunning views of the now world famous Weymouth waters. Looking out from one of the five penthouses, which was opened to the public as a show home, Nick said the view was ‘amazing’.
He added: “I wish I had that view. It’s one of the best views of the Jurassic Coast and it’s so nice to be able to stand here looking out at the waters where the sailing took place during the summer.”
Developer Majestic Properties and Estates said the building was created through ‘great passion’ and describes it as ‘the most aspirational new property on the south coast of England.’ Prices for apartments in the development started at £180,000. Penthouses started at £475,000.
Polly Greenway, managing director of Domvs, the property’s agents, said: “It’s been lovely to see some of the people that will be moving in.
“There’s a real community spirit developing already. It’s nice because there are not only local people, but others who are moving to the area.
“A lot of the people who have moved here have downsized from a house and it’s been lovely to have Nick here too, especially as we’re looking out over the waters where the sailing took place.”
