AN EXHIBITION of works by mosaic artist Robert Field is set to open at the Dorset County Museum.
A World in Fragments, which will showcase an amazing range of mosaics by the well travelled artist, opens on Saturday November 3 at the Dorchester museum and will continue until January 26.
The display includes birds, flowers and landscapes with designs inspired by architecture, geology and Gothic and Art Deco images.
Mr Field is also a successful author and has written six books on geometric patterns.
He will be coming to the museum to give a lecture on Thursday November 8 from 7pm.
The talk is entitled ‘Mosaic Art: Past and Present’ and entry to the event is free.
While the exhibition is running Mr Field’s books will be on sale at the museum shop alongside greeting cards and prints of his work.
