RESURFACING of a Weymouth bridge has been put on hold for the second time due to bad weather.
Work on Alexandra Bridge which was due to begin on Monday will be rescheduled, Dorset County Council announced.
It had planned to close the bridge, between Hanover Road and Radipole Gardens for four days but with wet weather predicted, engineers have decided to postpone.
Dorset County Council management engineer Emma Baker said: “The work is very weather dependant and the new surface needs to be laid in dry conditions.
"We will let people know as soon as the work and closure have been rescheduled."
