THE body of a firefighter has been found at Weymouth’s derelict old fire station.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Dorset Police officers were called to an address in Rodwell Road in Weymouth at around 10.30am this morning, where the body of a man was found.
“Police are not treating the death as suspicious, the coroner has been notified and the next of kin have been informed.”
Assistant chief fire officer, Ben Ansell said: “We are saddened to learn of the death of one of our firefighters from Weymouth.
“Obviously this is a very difficult time for his family and for members of the staff.
“Our thoughts and support are with them all."
