THE Beaminster Children’s Centre is holding an open family fun morning on November 10 from 10am to 1pm.

There will free fun and entertainment including balloon modelling and face painting as well as refreshments.

There will also be community organisations on hand to answer any queries about topics that may help with raising children and family life.

Those who register with the centre on the day will receive a free goodie bag and a chance to win a £25 shopping voucher.

Registering is free and means staff will be able to keep people updated with all their services and activities.

The aim of the morning is for children to have fun and for parents to find out what support and services are available to them.

The county council-run centre is for families in Beaminster and the surrounding villages.

Its team provide activities for children and their families during the week.

A spokesman said: “At the children’s centres we aim to give all children the best possible start in life and to give a helping hand to parents with their child and family.

“You can access lots of information for families and a range of services through us.

“Our aim is to make life a little easier in difficult times.

“We believe that parents sometimes just want the opportunity to be able to ask for help easily.”
