Volunteers are needed for litter pick

THE Friends of Radipole Park and Gardens are holding an autumn litter pick on Saturday, November 2.

People are being asked to spare an hour or two to join volunteers for a clean up in the park starting at 9.30am.

Residents are asked to meet at the children’s play area where a safety briefing, litter picks and bags will be provided. They are also asked to take along gloves if they have them.

The council’s parks team will be on hand to help out and remove any rubbish which is collected.

The Friends are also be holding a table-top sale on Saturday, November 17 at the United Reformed Church in Spa Road between 10am to 1pm

Would be better for adults to tech their children not to drop litter in the first place, and indeed set an example by not dropping it themselves.
