STARGAZERS from Weymouth are urging take a new look at the sky at night.
They are holding a Dark Skies Discovery Night tomorrow, Sunday November 11, for anyone interested in astronomy.
John Macdonald, of Weymouth Astronomy Club, said: “The Dark Sky Discovery programme aims to involve as many different communities as possible and encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in stargazing activities.
“The programme offers the public the opportunity to meet astronomers and find out about the latest research in the field.
“In England it is supported through a Big Lottery Fund grant awarded through Natural England’s Access to Nature programme.”

The next Weymouth Astronomy Club meeting is on Friday, November 16 at Upwey Village Hall at 7.30pm.
Speaker James Fradgley will give a talk titled Orbital Oddities at the meeting as part of the Dark Skies Discovery programme.
