A LIFESAVING charity has launched two new fundraising projects.

‘Sweet Treats’ and ‘Charity Flowers’ will provide a donation to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance when products are purchased.

Sweet Treat Donations offers a choice of sweets and snacks in an ‘honesty box’ left at workplaces and businesses.

Sean Read of Sweet Treats said: “The charity provides such an amazing service to the local community and we are pleased to be able to make a difference through our Sweet Treat boxes.

“We have also worked with a local baker who has helped us pick a range of flapjacks and cake slices that are not only delicious, but hand baked locally.”

By purchasing flowers or gifts from Charity Flowers, 15 per cent of the order price, excluding VAT and postage, is donated.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance fundraising manager Tina Viksna said: “With no direct government or National Lottery funding, we have to raise £4,000 a day to keep flying, so having a variety of different ways in which people can help us is really important. “We are looking forward to seeing how popular these campaigns are and will continue to look for new and innovative fundraising ideas.”
