BURGLARS crept into a home while the owner was sleeping and stole a computer.
Police in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following the break-in in the Melcombe Regis area of the town.
It happened about 12.15am on Sunday at a house just off Park Street.
The offenders forced their way through a ground floor window while the owner slept before making off with a Dell Inspiron laptop.
PC William Taylor of Weymouth police said: “I am appealing to anyone with information about this burglary to get in contact with us.
“This theft has caused great distress to the victim, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area leading up to and during the time of this offence.”
