Police appeal for witnesses after burglary in Dorchester
1:30pm Wednesday 14th November 2012 in News
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after another burglary in Dorchester.
The latest home targeted was a property in the Holmead Walk area of Poundbury on Sunday night.
It follows a spate of break-ins around the county town.
Inspector Steve Marsh, of Dorchester Police, said in the Holmead Walk incident the homeowners were away at the time and a neighbour noticed that a window had been forced open.
Offenders had made a search of the property but police cannot be certain what was taken until they speak to the owners. Earlier this month police issued a warning to residents to make sure their properties are secure after burglaries in Bridport Road and Wardbrook Street in Poundbury.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Dorchester Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
