At the time of writing the Park Community Centre is about to be decorated in time for the Christmas Sparkle Event on Saturday December 1.

With local performer Simon Phillip returning for another year following his success last year. Tickets have already sold out. Its to be an evening of song and music – photos and write up to follow at another time.

The Waterside Weymouth Community Forum has also been successful in receiving funding from the Co-Operative Membership Community Fund. The cheque was presented to Chairman John Morse towards the end of October and no doubt that will be put to good use helping our community thrive. The  Forum are responsible for the Park Community Centre and would like to put out a call for anyone who would like to come along and perhaps learn new skills or pass on their talents to others. They can never have too many volunteers.

If you have the urge to think of a different approach to a New Years resolution, you dont have to wait until the New Year to make a difference, The Community Centre would love to hear from you.
