Purbeck District Council is providing free parking in its pay and display car parks in Wareham and Corfe Castle on four shopping days leading up to Christmas.
As agreed with the local chambers of trade and commerce, free parking will be available from Wednesday December 19 to Saturday December 22 inclusive in the district council’s car parks.
Wareham Town Council has also agreed to allow free parking in Howards Lane car park, Wareham, over the same period.
In Swanage, the Town Council has arranged with the Swanage and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce to provide free parking in the Main Beach and Broad Road, above the pier, car parks on Saturdays December 8, 15, 22 and 29.
