SNAPPERS are being urged to get in the frame for the Jurassic Coast Award photography competition.

The aim is to get people to capture the world heritage site from a different angle.

Images can be entered in three categories. They are My Special Place, Point in Time and Close up Coast.

The Jurassic Coast world heritage site has joined forces with the Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Fine Family Foundation for the contest.

Photographer Ben Osborne, who was Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007, will lead the judging panel.

The top prize is £500 and there are also runner-up prizes. Winning entries will be placed on show at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre on Portland.

Entrants must send prints up to A4 size. There is a maximum of five entries per category.

It is free to enter, open to all ages and everyone can enter. The deadline for entries is February 25 next year.
