Police appeal for witnesses after new year's eve stabbing in Weymouth

A MAN was stabbed in the Park District in an assault in Weymouth on new year's eve, police said.
The 25 year old from Weymouth was attacked in the street at the junction of Walpole Street and Lennox Street at 11.30pm.
A police spokesman said that the man was taken to the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester for treatment.
He said that the man was discharged from hospital on the morning of New Year's Day.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information to call 101.
