Help with cat care offered

MAKE sure you can be reunited with your cat if it gets lost.

Throughout January, February and March the Feral Cat Care charity is offering pet owners in West Dorset the chance to get their cat microchipped and neutered for just £5.

Normally the charity neuters feral and farm cats but for the next three months the charity will be offering to neuter and microchip cats and kittens over six months old.

Microchipping will be done along with the £5 neutering or if the cat has already been neutered then microchipping can be done free of charge.

A spokesman for the charity said that both procedures are very important. She said: “Microchipping is important – so many cats aren’t reunited with their owners.”

If a lost cat is found, they can be scanned for a microchip and if they have one the owner’s address and contact details will come up – meaning that lost pets and worried owners can be reunited within 24 hours.

Will this stop cats from defecating in peoples gardens? Even if the law allows cat to roam free.
