Woman who died in caravan fire named

THE woman who died in a caravan fire in Weymouth has been named locally as Vikki Syme, who was in her 20s.

Emergency services were alerted to Martleaves Farm, Ryemead Lane, Wyke Regis, on Monday night to deal with the blaze.

The death is being treated as unexplained and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service has launched an investigation into the cause.

Just wanted to send my condolences to Vikki's familY , my two daughters used to play and go to school with Vikki and her sisters. They were only out together a couple of weeks before Christmas. I remember Vikki and her sisters all trooping into my house for squash when they were younger. so sad for her little girl :'( R.I.P.

Such shocking news! I knew Vikki & her family years ago when I used to babysit for all the sisters, can't believe what has happened!

Oh no! This is such a shock! I was working at the House of Dorchester
with her up until a month or so ago.
A really likeable young woman - so hard to believe this has happened!
There will be motherless children too..
