THE 100th Prince’s Trust course for young people in Weymouth is about to be held at the community fire station.
Organisers with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service’s Prince’s Trust programme are looking for young adults to take part. The 12-week personal development programme allows 16 to 25 year olds to undertake different activities whilst they are working towards a national award.
The youths, who come from a variety of different backgrounds, will have the opportunity to spend a week at a residential activity centre, undertake a project based in the community, complete a work placement and participate in a team challenge, involving caring for others.
Dave Prior, who led the first Prince’s Trust programme and will lead the 100th team, said: “The course is aimed at helping to change the lives of these young people.”
