Police escort heavy load from Portland

POLICE are warning of possible traffic build-ups due to a heavy load being moved from Portland to Poole tomorrow.

The load, with police escort, will be leaving from Osprey Quay on Portland at around 10am and taking the A35 route to Poole docks.

One sea port to another, says a lot when you move boats by road causing chaos not only for local residents but are hard pressed police force. Can they not tow these boats across the bay?
Or is this a regular occurrence for Weymouth and Portland? There ought to be a law against it. Another example of the wealthy dictating our lives.
