SNOW CHAOS: Dorset braced for icy conditions SNOW CHAOS: Dorset braced for icy conditions

CONDITIONS in Dorset could continue to be dangerous as temperatures plummet, causing ice to form.

A severe weather warning is in place for the rest of the weekend in the north Dorset area only.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Although some further slight snowfalls are likely in places, the focus switches to ice, with sub-zero temperatures persisting over existing snow cover for many areas.”

More snow is forecast for tomorrow overnight into Monday in Dorchester and West Dorset.

The snow is expected to miss Weymouth and Portland, although sleet is forecast on Monday.

The temperature is also expected to drop after the weekend, with lows of -4 overnight.
