POLICE and fire crews have rescued a driver in a major operation after his car plunged off the road on Osmington Hill.
Rope rescue teams worked with fire crews to try and rescue the casualty who was trapped in the car about 30 metres off the road.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene but is not believed to have been seriously injured.
The A353 has now been re-opened. It was previously closed in both directions between the Sutton Poyntz turning in Preston and the A352 junction in Warmwell.
