New community involvement consultation revealed

A CONSULTATION is under way to get people’s views on community involvement in planning matters.

Dorset County Council is looking for people’s views on its Dorset Statement of Community Involvement.

This statement sets out how the county council intend to involve the community in planning matters. It also sets out the county council’s commitment to involving people in the planning application and minerals and waste planning.

The Statement of Community Involvement aims to give communities a clear understanding of when they might be expected to be consulted or invited to participate in planning matters.

People have until March 1 to make their views known.
