3:21pm Saturday 26th January 2013 in News
RESIDENTS should be on alert for flooding this weekend, the Environment Agency has warned.
Flood warnings have been issued by the agency for the River Wey at Weymouth, the Upper and Lower Frome between Maiden Newton and Dorchester, and East Stoke to Wareham, the Parrett from South Perrott into Somerset, and the Char at the Dolphins River Caravan Park.
The Met Office has predicted heavy rain and gales around Weymouth and the coast.
Some roads have already been affected with closures in place.
The C12 in Charminster is closed in both directions between the Charlton Down junction and Charminster junction.
The West Stafford bypass has also been hit by flooding and is closed in both directions between the A352 junction and the Highgate Lane junction.
