Yet another example of Weymouth going down the pan.

More business investing in the area.

More jobs being created.

Another restaurant to choose from.

Will the last person leaving Weymouth please turn out the light.

Great for jobs, but what's the point of opening a Travel Inn when we've already got one at Lodmoor and there is another one being built in Dorchester? I also wonder where the people are coming from, after all, there is nothing in Weymouth, and once WPBC have their way and demolish the Pavilion, there will be no reason for people to visit.

It's exactly this doom & gloom mentality, that is wrong with some of the people in this town.

If it is really so bad here, please feel free to leave.

I'm happy to carry your bag to the train.

Hahaha, well can i ask what you were expecting on the logo of a weymouth restaurant?! sydney opera house perhaps? hanging gardens of babylon? a herd of wildebeasts sweeping majestically?... Could of been a logo of a horse........

I think it was an example of irony.

Should be put at Littlemoor - plenty of burning cars to barbie the meat on - real alfresco experience of the current Weymouth lifestyle. The crowds would flock in.

It's the already struggling hoteliers and guest house owners I feel sorry for, this will take away more business from them as they will struggle to compete.

Maybe if they offered value for money, they wouldnt struggle...

These big hotel chains often offer a better room, at a better rate, with a better breakfast!

Stench - You couldnt be more wrong, as a Guest House owner on the sea front, im doing double sea view rooms, with a "better breakfast" for £45 & £50.00 pn, try and booking into the Premier in for that price, then you have to pay £7.50 on top per person for breakfast ! !
I suggest Stench has a look through tripadvisor and read some of the reviews for the "Bigger, better value hotels"

Beefeater was quite good for a steak back in the day. Look forward to giving it a whirl.

At Premier Inn we have rooms from £19 and our breakfasts are £5.25 for a continental all you can eat buffet and our cooked all you can eat buffet is £8.25. Plus kids eat free when an adult pays for the full breakfast. I have tried contacting several b&bs to work with when we are full to out book too, sadly no one in Weymouth wishes to do this. In Taunton i had a great relationship with several b&b owners and when we were full we sent guests to these businesses. Keeping visitors in the Taunton economy. Large chains have a massive interest in ensuring that the area they are in is successful, we also want people to come back. Occupancy is up and we had 1000 more people through Weymouth seafront in January than we did last year. These people went out to eat, visit attractions and spend money in Weymouth. Good for everyone i would have thought.
