A NEW guide will hope to attract more visitors to West Dorset.
The West Dorset Visitor Guide 2013 is out now and offers information about where to stay, where to go and what to do in the district.
It features over 200 quality assessed places to stay and information on West Dorset’s top attractions.
The tourism team at West Dorset District council has created the guide to compliment its work online with the www.visit-dorset.com website.
It has also launched an official Dorset Visitor App and is running an active social media campaign to spread the word about what the area has to offer.
Robert Gould, leader of West Dorset District Council, said: “West Dorset is a fantastic place for a holiday or a short break.
“We have some wonderful attractions, delicious local food and breathtaking scenery to enjoy.
“Following a truly memorable 2012, with images of Dorset transmitted to audiences all over the world, the district council is keen to make the most of the opportunities to encourage more visitors to come and discover the area for themselves.”
The 48-page visitor guide is available from tourist information centres in the district and can also be downloaded from www.visit-dorset.com.
