DORSET County Hospital has launched a recruitment drive to employ more nurses.
The Dorchester hospital is recruiting registered nurses across all specialties.
It hopes to increase its pool of staff and therefore reduce the need to employ temporary staff.
Director of nursing Alison Tong is urging nurses to apply to join the dedicated team at Dorset County Hospital.
She said: “To work as a nurse or midwife is an amazing privilege.
“Nurses play a pivotal role in nearly all aspects of patient care, from birth to death, in a variety of settings.
“At Dorset County Hospital we are committed to providing safe, compassionate care for everyone who uses our services.
“We have an experienced team of dedicated ward leaders who work with their teams to ensure every patient receives the care we would want for our own family.
“I am constantly touched by the care and compassion I see being delivered by nurses and midwives.
“There are many challenges we face in the NHS and we are developing our ward leaders to ensure they continue to lead their teams in the delivery of high quality care.
“This means investing in our most important resource - our staff.
“We are committed to ensuring our staff are competent and have the skills to do their jobs well."
For full details about the job opportunities available visit the hospital’s website at www.dchft.nhs.uk, where you can find direct links to the Dorset County Hospital pages on the NHS Jobs website.
The deadline for applications is February 24.
