Dorchester homeless charity gets fundraising boost

A DORCHESTER charity supporting homeless people has received a boost from local fundraising events.
Staff at the Dorchester Tourist Information Centre in Antelope Walk have raised £360 from a series of events including an in store treasure hunt and Christmas quiz.
Caroline Morrish-Banham, Dorchester Tourist Information Centre manager said: “Throughout the year we help raise money for local charities.
“We are delighted with the figure we have raised for The Hub.
“We would like to thank all the many local businesses and suppliers for their generosity in supplying such fabulous prizes.
“We would also like to thank our many customers for their loyal support.”
Steven Dukes, project leader at Bournemouth Churches Housing Association, said: “We are really thankful to the tourist information centre for the £360 raised through its Christmas quiz and treasure hunt.
“I would like to thank all the team for their hard work and dedication in helping vulnerable adults in Dorchester.”
