Vote for a Dorset building make-over

GET voting to help Dorset buildings get a renewable energy make-over.

Puragen have shortlisted a total of eight buildings in Dorset have been shortlisted for the prize, that will see the buildings get a make-over that could save them money on future energy bills.

The shortlist includes Southill Community Centre in Weymouth, The Community Learning Centre in Wimbourne, The Brackenbury Centre, Creekmore Community Association, Weymouth West Scout Troop, Bridport Scout Group, the Wessex Autistic Society and the Storehouse Church in Dorchester.

Jon Scott, from Puragen Dorset, said: “Local buildings are used by all generations and for a mix of activities from coffee mornings to scouts groups. This is why we feel it’s so important that local people have the opportunity to improve the energy performance of a building in their own area.

He added: “With such a great choice we now need local people to rally behind their local building and vote for the site of their choice.”

Voting is now open and will close at 5pm on 28 February. The winning entry will be announced at the beginning of March. To vote visit www.puragen.co.uk/keepingitlocal
