Buy bus tickets in advance

BUS passengers are able to buy their tickets in advance under a new scheme.

First has teamed up with PayPal to offer a new payment method for travellers.

Tickets are available to buy from any PayPal outlet, including 500 shops in the county.

Marc Reddy, of First, said: “Under this arrangement, customers will be able to buy their weekly or monthly bus tickets while at their newsagent, garage, supermarket or convenience store, many of which are open long hours and seven days a week.

“Obtaining tickets in advance helps speed up boarding time, enabling us to improve reliability, and it also removes the need for customers to carry lots of change with them.”

Passengers can still buy their tickets on the bus, or online at firstgroup.com/etickets
