TRIBUTE: The planting of the memorial tree for Lynne King
FRIENDS, family and colleagues planted a tree in memory of Lynne King.
The group gathered outside Magna Careline offices in Dorchester to celebrate the life of Mrs King by planting a memorial tree in her honour.
Mrs King worked for the company for seven years before she died suddenly in September 2011.
Staff from the careline wanted to recognise her contributions by planting a Norwegian maple tree in the grounds of the offices to celebrate her life.
At the tree unveiling general manager Tanya Grant and honorary president Leslie Phillips read tributes to Mrs King and told the assembled group stories of her time with the company.
Mr Phillips said: “It’s fitting that so many people were there to remember Lynne. She was loyal and well-liked by all her colleagues and the residents she was in contact with.
“We wanted to plant the tree to recognize her contribution.”
Mrs Grant added: “The tree ceremony is a fitting tribute to remember a valued colleague and friend.”
