12:00pm Saturday 9th February 2013 in News
Inspector Les Fry
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a spate of car crime in Weymouth.
Officers are investigating a number of incidents which took place in the town centre and Park District on Thursday night and are urging any witnesses to come forward.
Thieves smashed the window of a vehicle parked in Chapel Lane car park and stole ten CDs and a satnav on Thursday night.
Vandals also targeted a Hyundai Matrix parked in Brownlow Street between 4pm and 11pm the same day.
A Mercedes parked in Lennox Street was also targeted on the same evening.
Inspector Les Fry said: “We are appealing for information about these incidents so that we can bring the offenders to justice.
“We would also advise motorists not to leave valuables in their car and be sure to remove anything which might be a target for thieves.”
Anyone with information can call Dorset Police on 101.
