Warning over suspicious callers in Weymouth
2:35pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in News
POLICE are warning householders in Weymouth to beware of suspicious callers.
It comes after two men visited a man at his house in Chickerell Road today.
A police spokesman said the resident let one of the men into the house, who looked in the roofspace, and claimed there was a leak which would cost £4,000 to fix.
No money changed hands.
The spokesman said: “We would like to take this opportunity to warn residents against letting anyone into their house, unless they have been invited and identification is provided.
“Any suspicious persons should be reported to the police.”
