A NEW artwork will be unveiled in Weymouth next week.
Residents are invited to join cycling charity Sustrans and Dorset County Council to celebrate the installation of a portrait bench on the Rodwell Trail.
The project is an innovative national art project developed by Sustrans to immortalise local people who have played a key role in the life of their local communities.
A fisherman, a coastguard and a lifeboat coxswain were chosen by local people for the three life-size 2-dimensional steel figures that will stand alongside a simple wooden bench.
It will be unveiled on Friday, February 22 and more details about its exact location will be made available nearer the time.
