Put your questions to vein specialist in Dorchester
5:00pm Thursday 14th February 2013 in News
A VARICOSE veins awareness event in Dorchester will raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Experts from the VeinCare Centre based near Melbury Osmond are holding a free talk in the town next month to improve understanding about venous reflux disease, the condition behind varicose and thread veins. People will be able to put their questions to Dr Haroun Gajraj, one of the country’s leading vein specialists.
Admission is free and there will be collections for the air ambulance.
Dr Gajraj said: “Nearly one in three people suffer from varicose veins at some point in life but few people understand that these bulging veins are a sign of an underlying condition that can cause more serious problems.”
The event will last about an hour with time for people to ask questions or have a chat with Dr Gajraj or colleague Robin Windhaber.
The event will take place in Dorchester on March 2. To book a place call the VeinCare Centre on 0800 698 3467.
