Dorchester Camera Club capture top accolade at national contest

PHOTOGRAPHERS from Dorchester captured a top accolade in a national competition.

Dorchester Camera Club finished joint first out of nearly 90 groups in the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) Great British Nature Cup 2013.

The club submitted 21 photographers from members and went up against images from some of the best club nature photographers in the country.

After finishing second in last year’s competition, the club was delighted to go one better this time round and claim its first ever win.

Chairman Spike Piddock said: “Winning this year’s Great British Nature Cup is a wonderful accolade for Dorchester Camera Club. We have a pool of very good nature photographers and to share the top honours is a tribute to the talent of our club members.”
