New restaurant on hunt for Weymouth talent
3:00pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
TALENTED performers in Weymouth are being urged to take a bite at a new contest to celebrate the opening of the town’s new Beefeater restaurant.
The venue opens in April at the Weymouth Gateway site and to celebrate Beefeater is asking locals to showcase their best talents for a chance to win the headlining act role at the official opening of the restaurant.
The Search for Weymouth’s Most Talented contest has opened with wacky and wonderful talents all welcome.
Paul Male, new openings general manager at Beefeater Weymouth, said: “We are so looking forward to seeing what astonishing talent is hiding among our community. “We’re looking for acts that will raise eyebrows, get the community talking and amaze us. “If you’ve got that spark, we want to hear from you.”
Entrants are asked to send in photographs, videos and/or recordings as proof of their talent to enable judges to determine the winner.
Acts can be anything from a magic to a dance performance to playing the guitar but entrants are encouraged to be as creative and original as they can.
The winner will earn the chance to perform at the Beefeater Weymouth’s official opening and will receive £200 of vouchers to spend at the restaurant.
To enter, send proof of your talent to weymouthtalent@frankpr.it along with contact details and a brief explanation as to why this particular talent is the community’s most astonishing.
