STAFF at a Weymouth store are gearing up for a 95 mile walk – on the treadmill.

The challenge, which is based on the length of the Jurassic coastline, will take place at Value House in Wyke Regis.

It aims to raise money for Greenfingers, a small national charity dedicated to creating magical gardens for children’s hospices around the UK.

The walk is taking place on Garden ReLeaf Day 2013 during store opening hours for three days from March 8.

Staff are urging customers to support the challenge by donating to the cause.

There will also be the chance for children to make some dinosaur crafts in return for a donation.

Jo Ricketts, of Value House, said: “Greenfingers Charity create magical gardens for children’s hospices around the country and these gardens can help transform the lives of children with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

“We would like to see as many people as possible coming in to support us and raise as much money as we can for a great charity.

“There will also be a craft area for children who can follow the theme of the Jurassic coast by creating some dinosaur arts and crafts.”

The dedicated staff will each walk for 30 minutes before swapping until the 95-mile target has been reached.
