Police believe missing man may be in Weymouth

MISSING: Marvin Munday MISSING: Marvin Munday

FEARS are growing for a missing man who police believe may be in Weymouth.

Marvin Munday, 51, was last seen at 1pm on Friday March 1 near Swindon town centre.

Wiltshire Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

It was understood that he was going to Marlborough but didn’t return and family haven’t been able to contact him since.

They believe he may have travelled to Weymouth or to Southampton.

Inspector Dave Minty said: "Officers have been searching for Marvin throughout the weekend and we are increasingly concerned for his welfare. He has health problems for which he requires medication and is considered to be vulnerable. "Officers are continuing to search for Marvin and we would like to appeal for anyone who has seen Marvin or who has any information on his location to contact police immediately."

Police have released a CCTV image of Marvin taken in Swindon on Friday morning.

It shows him wearing a backpack with a distinctive fluorescent yellow tabard draped over it.

Marvin is described as white, of large build and is bald. He was wearing a blue waterproof coat, jeans and black boots. He had a large rucksack with a yellow vest over it. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101.
