Police hunt man who bit 'major part' of man's ear off in Weymouth night spot

POLICE are hunting a man who bit a ‘major part’ of a man’s ear off in a Weymouth night spot.
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning. (2) Officers were called by the ambulance service who said a male had been assaulted and needed attention.
The male told police that he had been assaulted just after midnight on Saturday morning on the dance floor of Dolce Vita on St Thomas Street.
A spokesman for the police said: “A major part of his ear has been bitten off.”
He added: “This is a horrible crime and we want to find whoever did it as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 101 and report any information to Weymouth CID.
