SEARCH: Coastguards scanned beaches last night at Kimmeridge believing someone was in danger
COASTGUARDS searched beaches fearing people were in difficulty after discovering an empty car with maritime kit and valuable items inside.
The discovery was made at Kimmeridge clifftop car park by teams on a training exercise last night.
Before a major search got underway, the vehicle owner was identified as camping nearby and units were stood down when it was confirmed no-one was in danger.
