Angler airlifted to Dorchester hospital after falling ill.

AN angler was airlifted to hospital after becoming ill.

The man was on board Weymouth vessel Supernova when he became ill earlier this morning.

Portland Maritime Rescue and Co-ordination centre on Weymouth harbourside were called and after consultation with a doctor it was decided to airlift the man to Dorset County Hospital.

The helicopter picked the man up from the Supernova which was 16 miles south-east of Portland Bill and took him to Dorchester.
