THE Brewers Quay attraction in Weymouth has re-opened its doors today in time for Easter.

The former brewery and tourism complex closed in 2011 for an ambitious renovation project of flats, a hotel and shops but it failed to materialise.

Now the first phase of the Hope Square venue has re-opened for the season.

Some 50 traders are due selling antiques, collectibles and vintage items from a 5,000 square foot emporium.

The scheme also includes shops, an Italian restaurant, museum and offices.

A D Day Museum is due to open shortly and also a new retail outlet adjacent to the main atrium.

Alastair Ross, a partner at Brewers Quay Investments LLP, said they were very pleased to be re-opening.

The complex is also hope to a world record jigsaw attempt at the moment. The next phases of development plans for the complex are due over the coming months.
