Some unusual guests have been poking their beaks into business at Upton’s new tourist information centre.

Staff at the centre, now located in the historic Pepperpot building, have been thrilled to see three ducks making themselves at home both inside and outside the building over the past couple of weeks.

The nosey neighbours have been waddling up from the nearby river Severn and have established themselves among the centre’s most loyal and popular customers.

A spokesman for Malvern Hills District Council, which runs the centre, said: “It’s not clear whether they are triggering the new automatic doors, but it’s more likely that the canny canards are tailgating visitors as they enter the building.

“The unusual webbed footfall is a nice treat for the staff, who have only just made themselves at home after relocating to the combined tourism and heritage centre, on Church Street.”
