A SEAGULL died after biting an electrified wire in Weymouth.
Dorset Police received a call alerting them to the incident in the Newstead Road area of Weymouth.
SSE electricity received a call about the incident and went out to investigate.
A spokesman for the company said that the cable was not one of theirs but disconnected the cable so it was not live anymore.
He said: “It wasn’t one of our cables but we did it for safety reasons.”
