An Otley charity that suffered a £2,000 blow due to metal thieves is appealing for help.
The exhaust and catalytic converter from Otley Action for Older People’s well-used minibus was stolen over the early May Bank Holiday weekend.
Although the charity has now had the part replaced, it is anxious to avoid the same thing happening again by finding a secure place to park the vehicle.
Otley Action for Older People’s memory and inclusion project worker, Catherine Greenwood, said: “We do have the minibus parked at a more secure location at the moment, thanks to the generosity of a local firm. Ideally, though, we would like to have it parked somewhere in the town centre so if any business has secure parking they could let us use that would be great.”
Anyone who can help should contact Catherine by sending an e-mail to info@otleyactionforolderpeople.org.uk or calling (01943) 463965.
